Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder
Suthira Taychakhoonavudh, Ph.D. co-founded Baiya Phytopharm in 2018. Her doctoral research on high-cost medicine allowed her to recognize that in many countries, including Thailand, high-cost medication is inaccessible in many communities. This became her main motivation to create a company that strives toward achieving the impossible within the pharmaceutical industry. Her collaboration with Dr. Waranyoo Phoolcharoen led them to create a platform that aims to provide access to high quality and affordable medication to more people across the country. Her end goal in this venture with Baiya is to strengthen the health security in Thailand, in hopes to make a change and put an end to this inequality.
Suthira is a graduate of Chulalongkorn University in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science and continued her master’s degree in Health Economics at the Faculty of Economics, Chulalongkorn University. She holds her doctoral degree from the University of Texas, School of Public Health. Sutira is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University.
